4x4 trails in Guatemala

Ola,

Me llamo Erik y quiero visitar Guatemala con mi Defender 110. Me gusto de viajar y acampar en la naturelleza pasando carrils 4x4. Normalmente los libros de http://www.reise-knowhow.de hablan de pistas 4x4 pero en la guia de Guatemala no se hay mucho sobre esta tema. Buscé en su website y encuentre su actividades. Es posible de obtenir algunas informciones sobre pistas a visitar absolutamente en Guatemala?

No hablo mucho Espanol pero espero a aprender mas a Antigua.

Guatemala tiene muchas pistas no asfaltadas por todo el país y muchos miembros de este foro las conocen bien

Para poder orientarlo mejor nos gustaría saber algunas cosas.
Su intención es atravesar el país, o piensa permanecer algún tiempo?
Que tipo de lugares quiere visitar, arqueología, cultura o naturaleza (Tenemos de todo)
Tiene modificaciones su defender??
Las pistas 4x4 que busca, las prefiere extremas??
Cuanto tiempo piensa estar en Guatemala y cuando??

Bueno ahi esta la salida, Bienvenido erick buscaste cabal donde era aqui estan los meros entusiastas del 4x4 aver si hacemos una salidita buena y depaso aprovechamos todos, solo falta que erick diga cuanto tiempo esta o si va de paso me imagino que es como daniel el www.lonewolftransglobal.com este cuate andava de paso pero hizo algo de off road con los de coban por cierto decia daniel que la travesia por todos esos paises le costaria nada menos que la modica cantidad de $200,000.00 dolares brutal que chorro de pisto, pero que calidad yo creo que seria el sueño de muchos. saludos

me encanta el video de Rio Azul; es seguro de viajar allá? Viajo con un otra pareja de Belgica en Toyota FJ; ellos van entrar el mas temprano la semana proxima en Guatemala; estoy en Mexico en Yucatan y espero de viajar juntos pero no es 100% seguro.

Thanks for any recommendations; so it is possible that we are already next weekend in north-east Guatemala, probably on our way to Tikal. We will not be able to participate in this weekend's event. We suppose your organization is based near Guatemala City? Do you have a Clubhouse somewhere? We like to camp so we look forward to meet you aal during such an event.

After you visit Tikal and Dos Lagunas-Río Azul you should travel from Flores Peten to Altaverapaz. At Cobán Altaverapaz ther`s a shop called Super Lavados y Más, they can show you some nice trails (if you want to send PM to them, search for "axbel").

Ola,

Gracias por la informacion; desfortunado no puedo leer version de GDB mas alto que version 2, entonces su informacion aqui nos ayuda.

Nosotros llegamos en Antigua pero sin mucho 4x4: mi acompañeros creen que la seguridad en el norte no es bastante...

Vamos al Lago de Atitlan y mi amigos (VW synchro T3 y Toyota FJ Cruiser) van despuès continuar para el sur. Me regreso en Mexico pero probablament despues me regresso en Guatemala tambien; si se hay un actividad 4x4 al fin de enero es possible que yo voy participar.
